Meet Jon Prescott of Wisecaregiving.org

We’ve made a new friend in Jonathan Prescott, founder of Wisecaregiving.org. Jon is the founder of Wisecaregiving, a non-profit organization founded “to help caregivers, patients, and seekers use this contemplative wisdom to become more effective, joyful, and sustainable”.

Jon is a Board Certified Chaplain, Clinical Chaplain, and Pastoral Counselor with over 30 years experience in end of life care. An ordained student of Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh, Jon has also studied with Dharmacharya Eileen Kiera and Jack Duffy Roshi at The Mountain Lamp Community and with Frank Ostaseski of the Metta Institute and Zen Hospice Project.

You can also find Jon’s newly released book The Road to Freedom: Learning to Drive with Joy and Kindness. It’s available for purchase on Amazon. The book offers advice to help you “transform driving into a practice of joy and kindness”.

It was our privilege to connect with Jon and feature him in Episode 43 of The Heart of Hospice podcast which published August 15, 2019. You can hear about Jon’s work and the services available through Wisecaregiving.org by clicking here.

Jon has so much wisdom to share. Through workshops, retreats, presentations, and private consultations, wisecaregiving.org offers guidance for caregivers and those facing life-limiting illness that enables them to find meaning in illness.

No matter who you are or where you are in your hospice journey, you are The Heart of Hospice.
