HPNA Launches a New Podcast

The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association is a professional organization for nursing professionals working in hospice and palliative care. According to the HNPA website, their work is based on the following:

Shared Mission – To Advance Expert Care in Serious Illness Shared Vision – To Transform the Care and Culture of Serious Illness Pillars of Excellence – Education, Competence, Advocacy, Leadership, Research

The newest addition to HPNA’s program is the HPNA Podcast Corner. It launched this week on Oct. 10, 2019. The podcast features guest Connie Dahlin, MSN, ANP-BC, ACHPN, FPCN, FAAN, Director of Professional Practice for HPNA as she talks with podcast host Julie Tanner, RN CHPN and educator for HPNA. You can find this inaugural episode on Spotify, Apple podcasts, and on the HPNA website.

Podcasts are a great way to get the most current information about the end of life industry and the growing field of palliative care. They’re free and easy to access. Podcasts can be integrated into a busy day at your house, on the road, or in the office. You don’t have to be a member of HPNA to listen to their podcast so it’s another great cost-free resource that can improve your nursing practice.

Along with the Hospice and Palliative Care Credentialing Center (HPCC) and the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation (HPNF), HPNA’s work includes everything from marketing and communication programs, technology improvements and palliative care resources, to educational options and scholarship support of nurses working in the hospice and palliative care sectors.

We’re excited to see HPNA start their journey with Podcast Corner – we can’t wait to see what’s ahead! Be sure to check it out.

Remember, no matter who you are, or where you are in your hospice journey, you are The Heart of Hospice.
